Federal Campaign Finance Restrictions

Contributions to Friends of Jan Schneider are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes. Contributions are subject to the limits and prohibitions of the Federal election campaign laws. Federal law requires political committees to use their best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Corporations, labor unions, federal government contractors and foreign nationals without green cards are prohibited from making contributions. Contribution limits for this election cycle are $5,400 for an individual and $10,800 for a couple.

About Jan Schneider

Jan Schneider is a graduate of Yale Law School and earned a Ph.D. in political science from Yale University. Prior to that, Jan graduated summa cum laude from Brown University in three years; earned a Masters in International Relations and a Certificate from the Russian Institute of Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs; and received a Certificate in International Organizations from the University of Geneva in Switzerland.
